Spooky Treats ~ My Craft Spot Challenge

Hi There!

It's time for a new Monday challenge over at My Craft Spot.

This week's challenge is Sweet Treats.

Here is what I made for the challenge:

To create this box, I started with the Sweet Nugget Matchboxes from My Scrap Chick. I used some older designer papers from My Mind's Eye that I have had in my stash for quite some time.

I added a sentiment from My Craft Spot's Banner Sentiments - Fall set and mimicked the spiders from my patterned card stock using the Halloween Shapes dies also from My Craft Spot. The eyes are some enamel dots from My Mind's Eye. I just used a permanent black marker for the center of the eyes.

If you would like to play along with us head on over to My Craft Spot to see all the guidelines for the challenge.

Thank you for joining me today!

Spooky Treats featuring Peachy Keen Stamps

Hi there!

Today I am sharing some fun little treats featuring Peachy faces over on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

I made these fun lollipop covers using my Silhouette Cameo and some SVG files from My Scrap Chick called Halloween Treat Toppers and Bags.

The files come with cute faces but I love using Peachy Keen Faces for more character.

For Dracula I used PK-695 The Uglies 1 1/8 and Phrases for the eyes.

For both of the "scary" monsters I first stamped the eyes on some Xpress-it card stock and colored then with my Copic markers. I, then, fussy cut them out and added them to the faces. Frankies mouth was also stamped with PK-694. To give the eyes shine I added some Ranger Glossy Accents.

The sentiment is part of the The Uglies Face assortment.

These were really fun to put together and would be great for some little goblins that came to your door.

I hope I've inspired you to get these stamps out and play!

Fabulous Birthday ~ My Craft Spot Design Post

Hi There! It's my day to post on the My Craft Spot Blog and this what I am sharing.

I made a super quick card for my sister's birthday. I wanted to make her a card but I didn't have a lot of time to get it together.  That's what I love about using stamps and dies from My Craft Spot. They make it so easy to put something fabulous together!

To create this card you will need the following:

Pretty patterned paper - I used Echo Parks For the Record 2
My Craft Spot Washi Tape Dies
My Craft Spot Build A Birthday stamp set
My Craft Spot Natural Jute String
Button

This is a pretty easy card to put together. I used the Washi Tape dies to cut some strips from my patterned paper. The tag was created by tracing a Kraft tag I had on hand on some of my patterned paper. I stamped the tag with my sentiment and adhered it to the front of my card. I then layered my washi tape papers on top of the tag. I added a jute bow and button.

My Craft Spot is have a guest designer call! You can view all the details HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

Halloween Chalk Art ~ My Craft Spot Challenge

Hi there! I am back with another card today. If you would like to see my PKS post just scroll down.

My card featured here is for My Crafts Spot's Monday challenge.

This week's challenge is to make something using Chalk Art.

This was a fun card to make and all I used were My Craft Spot stamps and dies.

To get the chalkboard look I stamped the middle panel with Chalkboard Sentiments - Fall in Versa Mark ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I added some chalk smudges with some Hero Arts ink. The faux stitching on the top and bottom edge was created by using a die from My Craft Spot's Fancy Edges - Halloween and from the same set I made my spider web border. My spider web border is actually wax paper. I was using the wax paper with my die so that it would help remove all the little paper tags from the die but I loved the look so much that I used it.

The skull and cross bones, ghost, and potion bottle are all from the Halloween Shapes dies. I added a sentiment from Halloween Potions to my potion bottle.

I added some Black Jute and Trick or Treat Sequins.

This was a fun card to put together!

To find all the details for this challenge please head on over to My Craft Spot.

Welcome to Day 5 of My Craft Spot's September Release Party!

This week has been filled with some fun projects featuring fall and Halloween stamps and dies. Today we are focusing on the last of 5 stamp sets, Batty For You.

When I saw this skeleton from Miss Kate Cuttables I knew I wanted to use him on my card. The skeleton and tombstone were cut with my Silhouette.

My background was created by stamping my gray paper with the Cloudy Day Background stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps.

I placed the background piece on a black mat. I used the My Craft Spot Fancy Edges - Halloween dies to cut the edge of my mat. To my scene I added a small tombstone and black cat which is part of the Halloween Shapes dies.

I used 3 different sentiments from the new Batty For You set. I heat embossed them in black embossing powder.

Scroll down or chick HERE to see my My Craft Spot sneak peek!

Welcome back creative friends!

How about that first day of sneak peeks? Pretty amazing, right? Well we have more!!
Welcome to Day #2 of sneak peeks for the PKS September 2014 Release!

Tonight the Peachy Keen Stamps design team is sharing creations using four new stamp sets that were originally designed and created to go with various other stamp sets or themes that have been previously released. Each month as Kathy begins her creative process, she takes sketches and ideas from a specific theme and runs with it. There's no way she could possibly include each and EVERY sketch or idea in every release, but some of them are just too darned cute NOT to make the cut at some point. This is where this release comes in. This evening you will see creations using the Haunted A2 Background, Birch Frame Background, Ballet Bears, and Smile Eagle.

For my card tonight I chose to use stamps from the new Ballet Bears set.

I colored this cute little bear with my Copic markers and add a little bit on Diamond Stickles to her wand. You can't see it in the picture but I also added some touches of glitter to her tu-tu.

The bear and sentiment are both from the Ballet Bear set, which will be available for purchase tomorrow night.

Friends, be sure to drop by the designers' blogs to see what each on has created and don't forget to leave your comments for a chance to win ALL of the stamp sets being featured tonight! Winners will be announced on Monday, September 8th.
Make sure you visit the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog for prize information and to leave a comment!

Thanks you for joining us tonight! Mark your calendars and set your alarm for TOMORROW night at 6 p.m. CDT, when you can join us for the complete Release and Reveal Blog Hop!
There's lots more fun, prizes and inspiration on tap, and we'll see you then!!!

Scroll down or click HERE for my Peachy Keen Stamps Day 1 Sneak Peek.

Hi There! I am back with Day 4's sneak peek of the My Craft Spot September Release!

Today we are sharing peeks of another new stamp set called Chalkboard Sentiments - Fall.

I decided to cover a movie-sized box of candy with a not so spooky wrapper. :)

The wrapper was created with patterned paper and edged with the spider web border from the new Fancy Edges - Halloween die. I trimmed it in some ribbon.

My cute little ghost is a silhouette file that you can find HERE. I stamped his face with a Peachy Keen Stamps face from PK-1320 In the Garden Face Assortment. I colored the eyes with Copic markers and added Glossy Accents for some shine.

My little ghost is peeking from behind a tombstone that I made from the Ornate Labels Die. I inked around the edge and heat embossed my sentiment with black embossing powder. The sentiment is from the brand new Chalkboard Sentiments - Fall stamp set. I finished the front of my wrapper with a few Trick or Treat sequins and Toadally Green sequins.

All of the new stamps and dies will be available for purchase on Saturday.

Every day Kimberly us giving away a special release party prize to one lucky person who comments on the My Craft Spot Blog.

Candy Corn Cutie ~ My Craft Spot September Release Party Day 3

Hi there! I'm back with another peek of My Craft Spot's September release!

What do you think so far? Are you loving the new stamps and dies? I know I am !

Each day this week the My Craft Spot designers are featuring projects using the new stamps and dies from My Craft Spot. Kimberly is releasing 5 new stamp sets and 4 new dies.

Today we are featuring the new Banners Sentiments - Fall stamp set.

Here is my project for today.

Isn't this candy corn box cute! I found the cut file in the Silhouette store. It came together quick easily. My sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Banner Sentiments - Fall set. I curved the sentiment on my acrylic block a little to match the curve of the designer paper.

This sentiment called for a cute face to go with it so I chose a Peachy Keen Stamps face from PK-293 The Cornies Face Assortment. I colored in the eyes and tooth with my white gel pen. To finish off this cutie I added a bow from my stash. Super easy!

Each day Kimberly is giving away a prize to one lucky person who comments on the My Craft Spot Blog.

Today she is giving away Jute String ( 10 yards of each color ).

Make sure you head on over to the My Craft Spot Blog to leave a comment and to see all the amazing projects the design team has created!

I'll be back tomorrow with another sneak peek!
